RELIEVING HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURE
Do not remove any hydraulic system fitting unless engine is shut down and hydraulic system
pressure has been relieved. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Escaping hydraulic
fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing injury or death to personnel.
At operating temperature, hydraulic oil is hot. Allow hydraulic oil to cool before disconnecting any
hydraulic fitting. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
Park machine on smooth, level surface.
Engage parking brake.
Start the engine and use the loader controls to raise the front of the machine off the ground. Tip the loader bucket forward
to further raise the machine.
Shut down engine.
Turn ignition switch to ON position without starting engine.
Operate the loader controls to lower the machine to the ground.
Operate the loader, backhoe, and auxiliary hydraulic control levers fully through all positions. This will relieve any
pressure that may be present in the hydraulic system.
Slowly loosen the hydraulic tank filler cap and allow any pressure to escape.
Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
