3. PRODUCT HARDWARE
Basically, two versions of the EGS are available : the GRIP TYPE and the STANDARD TYPE. Both
have a number of common features but most EGS units have a customised control program, giving
quite a range of functional differences.
Refer to the application specific EGS description for an explanation of customer specific features (its
EGS Functional Description).
3.1 GRIP type EGS
The GRIP type EGS is a shift lever, intended for mounting on the left side of the steering column.
