Thermostat - Removal (0-14)

Remove the capscrews from the thermostat housing.
Remove the thermostat housing, gasket, thermostat and
lifting bracket.
NOTE: Refer to Component Section 8 for inspection of the
thermostat.
Screwdriver
If so equipped, remove the aftercooler supply tube (1) and
the coolant return tube (2).
Turbocharger - Removal (0-15)
16 mm and 19 mm
Remove the turbocharger oil supply line from the turbo-
charger and oil filter head.
