Injection Pump - General Information
Rebuild and calibration of fuel injection pumps should be performed by qualified personnel using the
appropriate special equipment. However, there are a number of external repairs that can be performed on the
pumps without affecting the calibration. These repairs are included in this section.
During any fuel system repair, cleanliness is of utmost importance. Thoroughly clean all affected parts with solvent
and then blow dry with compressed air.
Injection Pump - Identification
Beginning in 1991, the B Series engine uses five different fuel injection pumps depending on the horsepower rating
and application.
