6. Attach a tow line (A) around machine's frame as
shown.

REMOVE AND INSTALL PROPEL GEARBOX
1. Swing upperstructure 90 and lower bucket to raise
track off ground. Keep angle between boom and arm
90--110 and position round side of bucket on ground.
2. Disconnect track. (See Remove Track Chain, Group
0130.)

CAUTION: Explosive release of oil from
pressurized system can cause serious burns or
penetrating injury. The hydraulic oil tank is
pressurized.
3. Loosen vent plug (A) to relieve hydraulic pressure in
hydraulic oil tank.
4. Remove propel motor cover.
