13. Operate the propel functions in forward and reverse
directions. This can be performed by one of two
methods.
a. Propelling the machine in forward and reverse for
a distance of 30 m (100 ft).
CAUTION: Prevent possible injury from machine
sliding backwards. Keep the angle between
boom and arm 90-110.
b. If machine is equipped with bucket, raise each
track (keeping angle between boom and arm

90-110) and propel in each direction for three
revolutions.
14. Park the machine with cylinder rods retracted.

15. Apply LPS 3 Rust Inhibitor to the exposed cylinder
rod areas (A).
