Disconnect negative battery

Disconnected.
2.
Disconnect alternator positive
output cable (Volume 3,
WP 0402), securing cable
from contacting a grounding
point.
3.
Disconnect all other alternator
connectors. (Volume 3,
WP 0402)
4.
Reconnect negative battery
cable. (Volume 4, WP 0521)
5.
Reconnect engine wiring
harness connectors J01
(Volume 5, WP 0800, Figure
46), J02 (Volume 5, WP 0800,
Figure 47), and J03. (Volume
5, WP 0800, Figure 48)
6.
Reconnect engine wiring
harness connector X01.
(Volume 5, WP 0800, Figure
82)
7.
Turn key switch to ON position;
START ENGINE (TM
5-3805-294-10). (Volume 5,
WP 0794)
8.
Refresh DTCs. (Volume 3,
WP 0362) Note if DTC 637.02
is an active DTC.
9.
Shut down engine and turn key
1.
If DTC 637.02 is an active
switch to OFF position (TM
DTC, proceed to Malfunction
5-3805-294-10). (Volume 5,

2.
If DTC 637.02 is not an active
DTC, replace alternator.
(Volume 3, WP 0402) Restore
machine to original condition
and perform Harness
Diagnostic Mode Test.
