ENGINE CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START. -- CONTINUED
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical circuits, a
direct short may result. Damage to equipment and injury or death to personnel may occur.
Step 6.
Check fuel shut-off solenoid (5) to ensure it is functioning properly.
If fuel shut-off solenoid arm (6) moves, notify Direct Support maintenance (Appendix L).
Step 7.
Check wiring harness (7) for continuity and connector (8) for damage or short.
If wiring harness (7) does not have continuity, replace wiring harness (Para 12-27).
If connector (8) has damage or a short, replace connector (Para 12-28).
Step 8.
Check wiring harness from fuel shut-off solenoid to power source for continuity.
If wiring harness does not have continuity, replace wiring harness (Para 12-27).
If fault continues, notify Direct Support maintenance (Para L-26).
