EXCESSIVE EXHAUST NOISE OR RATTLING.
Hot parts can burn personnel. Let hot parts cool before starting work.
Step 1.
If muffler (1) is damaged, replace muffler (Para 11-5).
Step 2.
Check exhaust system (2) for exhaust gas leaks.
Repair or replace any leaking exhaust components found (Chapter 11).
