EMS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONTINUED
Hydraulic Oil Temperature Sensor/Warning
0004
A sensor is fitted to the hydraulic oil circuit to measure the temperature of the oil. The temperature is displayed to the operator
by means of a 20-segment bar graph (Figure 53, Item 32). The segments of the bar graph are color coded. Segments 1 to 16
will appear green, segments 17 to 20 will appear red.
When the hydraulic oil temperature reaches 217F (102.5C), the warning light (Figure 53, Item 33) on the EMS will illumi-
nate. (Red segment 17 of the bar graph will be illuminated.
If the oil temperature continues to rise, at 221F (105C), not only will the warning light (Figure 53, Item 33) be illuminated,
but the internal buzzer will sound and the message "HYD OIL TEMP" will be displayed by the LCD.
If the temperature is allowed to rise any higher, at 225F (107C), along with the warning light (Figure 53, Item 33), the inter-
nal buzzer, and the LCD message, the external buzzer and a warning light on the front console warning light panel will be illu-
minated. The buzzers can be canceled by pressing the OK button (Figure 53, Item 5) on the EMS.
If the temperature reaches 230F (110C), along with the above indications, the bar graph will flash. Once this condition is
reached, the buzzers can no longer be canceled by pressing the OK button (Figure 53, Item 5).
When the oil temperature falls below 212F (100C), the warning light (Figure 53, Item 33) and the buzzers will automatically
be extinguished.
