COMPACTOR OPERATION CONTINUED
1.
After installing compactor to machine (WP 0004), connect compactor hoses (Figure 2, Item 5) to auxiliary connectors
(Figure 2, Item 3) on dipper (Figure 2, Item 2).
WARNING
Accidents can be caused by working in poor visibility. Keep windows clean and use your lights to
improve visibility. Do not operate the machine if you cannot see properly. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Set stabilizers and loader bucket the same as for digging (WP 0004).

Position machine in place.

Extend boom (Figure 2, Item 1) and dipper (Figure 2, Item 2) as far as possible (WP 0004).
CAUTION
Do not use excessive downward pressure on the compactor.
If gap between foot plate and compactor is closed, too much downward pressure is being applied.
Never put total weight of the machine on the compactor.
Failure to follow this caution will cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Continuously monitor area being compacted for signs of over-compaction.
