PAVEMENT BREAKER OPERATION

NOTE
To engage the pavement breaker, press auxiliary foot pedal (Figure 3) with heel of shoe. To
disengage the pavement breaker, remove heel pressure from auxiliary foot pedal and wait until
pavement breaker stops hammering.
For optimal performance, engine rpm should be 1,800 rpm.

WARNING
Accidents can be caused by working in poor visibility. Keep windows clean and use your lights to
improve visibility. Do not operate the machine if you cannot see properly. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Set stabilizers and loader bucket the same as for digging (WP 0004).

Position machine in place.

Position boom (Figure 4, Item 3) and dipper (Figure 4, Item 2) as needed (WP 0004).
CAUTION
Do not engage pavement breaker until there is contact pressure on tool or equipment damage can
occur.

Operate boom (Figure 4, Item 3) and dipper (Figure 4, Item 2) to position pavement breaker (Figure 4, Item 1) (WP 0004).
