Tests
IMPORTANT: In this procedure the pump regulators
are adjusted to load the engine to rated
speed so all available engine
horsepower is used. Prior to performing
this adjustment, proper engine
performance with number two diesel
fuel must be verified. The fast idle
speed must be adjusted to
specifications.
Pump regulators are sensitive to adjust.
1. Connect the laptop computer. (See the installation
procedure in this group.)
a. Start the engine.
b. Select "3 Front pump delivery pressure" and "4
Rear pump delivery pressure" from the Monitor Data
menu.
