Cooling System
REMOVE AND INSTALL FAN BELT
1. Remove fan guard. (See procedure in this group.)
2. Place a 15 mm wrench over the hex head of cap
screw (A) in the center of the tension adjuster idler.
3. Pull idler away from belt (see arrow) to release belt
tension. Remove old belt.
4. Loosen air conditioning compressor (if equipped) and
remove compressor belt from crankshaft pulley.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove fan to replace fan
belt.

5. Remove fan belt.

6. Install new fan belt.
7. Fit belt around all pulleys except adjuster idler.
8. Pull adjuster forward and slide belt behind adjuster
idler.
9. Slowly release adjusters.
10. Adjust and tighten compressor belt.
11. Install fan guard.
