Air Intake and Exhaust System
7. Carefully lift air intake cover (A) from intake manifold
(C).
8. Remove aftercooler (B).
9. Remove and discard gasket (D).
10. Inspect aftercooler end seal (E) and replace as
needed.

11. Remove the six intake manifold-to-cylinder head caps
screws (A) and remove intake manifold. Remove and
discard all manifold gaskets.
12. Inspect and repair aftercooler. See INSPECT AND
REPAIR AFTERCOOLER (6081A ENGINES), later in
this group.
