REPLACE (PULL TYPE) METRI-PACKTM
CONNECTORS
NOTE: The Deere Engine Control Unit (ECU) has this
type of connector.
Disconnect the METRI-PACKTM connector (A). Remove tie
bands and tape.
Insert a "T" pin (B) 6.4 mm (1/4 in.) into connector body
socket (C).
Disconnecting (Pull Type) METRI-PACKTM Connector
NOTE: Use JDG777 Terminal Extraction Tool1 or "T" pin
to remove terminals.
Angle "T" pin so pin tip slides close to the plastic socket
edge pushing terminal locking tab (D) inward.
Remove "T" pin and push terminal (E) out of socket.
Remove terminal, cut, strip and crimp wire through
connector.
Check to make sure locking tab on new terminal is in
outward position, then pull on wire until terminal locks in
connector body socket.
Inserting T-Pin into Socket
NOTE: Terminal will seat only one way. If terminal does
not pull into the connector body socket, check to
make sure terminal is aligned correctly.
