TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE

1.
Verify the key switch is in the

Disconnect engine wiring
harness connector J03 from
ECU. (Volume 5, WP 0800,
Figure 48)
3.
Turn the key switch to the ON
position, but DO NOT START
ENGINE (TM 5-3805-294-10).
(Volume 5, WP 0794)
4.
Clear and refresh the DTCs.
Many new DTCs will be active,
only note if DTC 3509.03 is still
an active DTC. (Volume 3,
WP 0362)
5.
Turn the key switch to the OFF
1.
If DTC 3509.03 is still an active
position (TM 5-3805-294-10).
DTC, replace ECU. (Volume 4,
(Volume 5, WP 0794)
WP 0508) Restore machine to
original condition and perform
Harness Diagnostic Mode
Test. (Volume 3, WP 0345)
If DTC 3509.03 is not active,

proceed to Malfunction 2.
Visually inspect engine wiring

If damaged or has loose
