The voltage and current for the electrical system are indicated by a voltmeter (1) located on the dash panel, inside the cab.
Circuit breakers (2) located in the cab protect the main circuits. Electrical power is provided by two 12-Vdc series-connected
batteries (3). Power is distributed throughout the vehicle by wiring harnesses. The harnesses are interconnected by pin
connectors. A heavy-duty starting motor (4) is mounted on the engine flywheel housing and provides the cranking power
necessary for starting the engine. The belt-driven alternator (5) maintains a 24-Vdc level for battery charging.
