Hardening of the material and wear or damage to the
sealing surfaces will cause the valve seal to leak.

Preparatory (002-020-000)
WARNING
Coolant is toxic. Keep away from pets and children. If
not reused, dispose of in accordance with local envi-
ronmental regulations.
WARNING
Do not remove the pressure cap from a hot engine. Wait
until the temperature is below 50C [120F] before re-
moving the pressure cap. heated coolant spray or steam
can cause personal injury.
Drain the coolant. Refer to Procedure 008-018.
Remove all water and heater hoses.
Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Procedure 002-
004.
Disassemble (002-020-003)
Mark the valves to identify their location.
