See your John Deere dealer for JT05460 SERVICEGARD
battery and coolant tester. Follow directions included with
the tester.
A fully charged battery will have a corrected specific
gravity reading of 1.260. If the reading is below 1.200,
charge the battery.
NOTE: In tropical areas, use 1.225 for the full charge
reading. In cold areas, use 1.280 for the
full-charge reading.

USING BATTERY CHARGER
CAUTION: Disconnect battery ground before
you charge batteries in the machine to prevent
damage to electrical components.
A battery may explode if charged when it is
frozen. Warm battery to 16C (60F) before
charging.
A battery charger may be used as a booster to start
engine.
IMPORTANT: Do not use battery charger as a booster
if a battery has a 1.150 specific gravity
reading or lower. Turn off charger
before connecting or disconnecting it.
