Maintenance
REPLACING BATTERIES
Your machine has two 12 volt batteries with negative (-)
ground. Batteries must meet one of the specifications
below.
Battery--Specification
Cold Cranking Amps .................................................. 1400 at -18C (0F)
Minutes Reserve Capacity ................................................ 440 at 25 amps
If one battery in a 24-volt system has failed but the other
is still good, replace the failed battery with one of the
same type. For example, replace a failed
maintenance-free battery with a new maintenance-free
battery. Different types of batteries may have different
rates of charge. This difference could overload one of the
batteries and cause it to fail.

REMOVING BATTERIES
1. Remove two wing nuts from battery cover.
2. Disconnect negative (-) battery cables first, then
positive (+) cables.
3. Remove hold down brackets.
4. Lift batteries out of compartment.
