SHAFTS
1. Remove lower idler shaft and thrust washer by driving
or pressing on shaft from block side of front plate.
2. Remove upper idler shaft and thrust washer by driving
or pressing on shaft from block side of front plate.

CLEAN AND INSPECT FRONT PLATE
IMPORTANT: All surfaces must be free of oil and dirt.
1. Clean front plate with hot soapy water.
2. Rinse well with plain water to remove all soap residue
from gasket surface.
3. Inspect front plate for damage.
