REMOVE AND INSTALL PROPEL GEARBOX
1. Swing upperstructure 90 and lower bucket to raise
track off the ground. Keep angle between boom and
arm 90--110 and position round side of bucket on
ground. Put a support stand under the undercarriage.
2. Disconnect tracks. (See Remove Track Chain, Group
0130.)

CAUTION: The hydraulic oil tank is pressurized.
High pressure release of oil from pressurized
system can cause serious burns or penetrating
injury. Release pressure from tank by loosening
vent plug. It is not necessary to remove vent
plug.
3. Loosen vent plug (A) to release air pressure in
hydraulic oil tank.
4. Remove propel motor cover.
