Crankshaft, Main Bearings, and Flywheel
3. Check vibration damper radial runout by positioning a
dial indicator so preloaded probe (A) contacts damper
O.D.
4. Rotate crankshaft using JDE81-1 or JDG820 Flywheel
Turning Tool.
5. Note total dial indicator movement. Compare reading
with specification below.
Damper--Specification
Radial Runout............................................................. 1.02 mm (0.040 in.)
Measuring Runout of Single Damper
If runout exceeds specifications, replace vibration damper.
