engine control unit (ECU)

146), monitor controller
(MON) (Volume 5, WP 0800,
Figure 218), information
controller (ICF) (Volume 5,
WP 0800, Figure 98), main
controller (MCF) (Volume 5,
WP 0800, Figure 217), CAN
terminating resistor (Volume 5,
WP 0800, Figure 60) and all
connectors in between the
controller wiring harnesses.
3.
Turn key switch to ON position,
but DO NOT START ENGINE
(TM 5-3805-294-10). (Volume
5, WP 0794)
4.
Clear and refresh DTCs. Note
if DTC 1638.09 is still active.
(Volume 3, WP 0362)
5.
Turn key switch to OFF
1.
If DTC 1638.09 is active,
position (TM 5-3805-294-10).
proceed to Malfunction 2.
(Volume 5, WP 0794)
2.
If DTC 1638.09 is not active, no
fault at this time.
1.
Remove cab rear tray.
2.
Connector X30 Has
Damage or Loose
(Volume 4, WP 0566)
Sockets.
2.
Remove main controller.
(Volume 4, WP 0517)
3.
Visually inspect connector X30
1.
If damage or has loose
for damage and loose
sockets, replace cab wiring
harness. (Volume 4,
sockets. (Volume 5, WP 0800,
Figure 96)
WP 0504) Restore machine to
original condition. Clear and
refresh DTCs. (Volume 3,
WP 0362)
2.
If not damaged and does not
have loose sockets, proceed to
Malfunction 3.
