CAUTION
The transmission oil must be at its operating temperature before you
check the oil level. Failure to comply with this instruction could result
in the transmission being incorrectly filled with oil and becoming
damaged.
Do not overfill as this would cause overheating problems and foaming
of the oil. A low oil level will cause cavitation and loss of drive.
a. Remove the transmission oil gauge
rod (Table 5, Note 9) from the filler tube
and clean.
