WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance
during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of appropriate lifting
capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning
may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Refer to Configure Removed Machine Parts on 463L Cargo Pallets for Air Transport for loading
details of removed components.
Tag all electrical harnesses and hydraulic hoses as they are disconnected to ensure correct
reconnection.
1.
Remove the front attachment (previously loaded MP bucket with spare wheel, etc.) (WP 0004) onto 463L cargo pallet.
Replace attachment pin complete with lynch pin to quick-hitch.
2.
Release the backhoe boom lock (WP 0004) and ensure slew lock pin is engaged.
3.
Extend boom and dipper; remove rear bucket and tipping link (WP 0004). Note that the tipping lever/tipping link pivot
pin is refitted to the tipping lever for transportation. Fully retract bucket cylinder and install dipper dolly.
4.
Lower stabilizers to contact floor without supporting any vehicle weight. Remove stabilizer feet (Figure 1, Item 4) and
refit the pivot pins to the feet for stowage on the pallet.
5.
Remove upper stabilizer cylinder pivot pins (Figure 1, Item 1). Retract stabilizer cylinders to minimum length. Stop the
engine and relieve the pressure in the stabilizer hydraulics by operating the controls fully in both directions. Disconnect
the quick release couplings on the stabilizer cylinders (Figure 1, Item 2).
