Hydraulic Cylinder Neither Extends Nor Retracts

Step 1. Check if hydraulic oil level too low.
Fill hydraulic tank to proper level (WP 0017).
Step 2. Check if hoses or fittings loose or disconnected.
If found, notify Field Maintenance.
Step 3. Check if hoses are crimped or crushed.
If found, notify Field Maintenance.
Step 4. If hydraulic cylinder still doesn t extend or retract, notify Field Maintenance.
Hydraulic System Overheats

Step 1. Check if hydraulic oil level too low.
Fill hydraulic tank to proper level (WP 0017).
Step 2. If hydraulic system still overheats, notify Field Maintenance.
Hydraulic Motor Seals Leak

Notify Field Maintenance.
Tension Springs Too Tight Or Too Loose

Compactor Does Not Run

Step 1. Oil level too low in hydraulic tank.
Fill hydraulic tank to proper level (WP 0017).
Step 2. Operating pressure too low.
Ensure machine is at correct engine rpm.
Step 3. Check if couplers or hoses are blocked at ports.
Remove restriction.
Step 4. Check if hoses are crimped or crushed.
If found, notify Field Maintenance.
Step 5. If compactor still does not run, notify Field Maintenance.
Compactor Operates Slowly

Notify Field Maintenance.
Compactor Does Not Pack Effectively

Step 1. Check if couplers or hoses are blocked at ports.
Remove restriction.
Step 2. Check if hoses are crimped or crushed.
If found, notify Field Maintenance.
Step 3. If compactor remains degraded, notify Field Maintenance.
