If fitted, disconnect and remove arctic batteries. Unbolt arctic kit battery tray and remove.
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance
during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable lifting
capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning
may result in injury or death to personnel.
9.
Remove left hand cab door:
a.
Tag and disconnect wiring harness to side marker light.
b.
Disconnect gas strut from cab frame.
c.
Sling door ready for removal.
d.
Release securing hardware and remove door, ensuring that the upper hinge mounting plate remains with the door for
transportation.

NOTE
The air conditioning system has been equipped with self-seal quick-release couplings. These
remove the need to discharge the system in order to remove the cab roof solar shield.
10. Remove cab roof solar shield:
a.
Disconnect air conditioning condenser feed and return pipes at their quick release couplings. Take care to keep
couplings clean and free from damage.
b.
Tag and disconnect the harnesses to the A/C fan assemblies.
c.
Attach sling to the four lifting points on the cab roof solar shield (271 lb) and secure to lifting device. Note that a suit-
able four leg sling is included in the BII and is to be used with the short legs secured to the rear lifting provisions on
the cab roof solar shield in order to give a level lift.
d.
Remove the six bolts securing the cab roof solar shield assembly to the cab roof and using the previously attached
lifting device remove the cab roof solar shield assembly.
