3.
Turn battery disconnect switch to ON position (WP 0004).
4.
Check boom float valve is still in "float" position.
5.
6.
Check that the loader end and excavator end are set correctly (Figure 6) before moving the machine.
WARNING
Always use a ground guide when operating machine up or down ramps. Failure to use a ground
guide may cause injury or death to personnel or damage to equipment.

Using ground guide assistance and in 1st gear forward ONLY, SLOWLY drive straight off aircraft until the rear wheels are
clear of the loading ramp, but with the backhoe s weight still supported on the dipper dolly INSIDE the airframe. As the
rear axle crests the ramp check the critical clearances above the cab roof and the top of the dipper (Figure 8, Sequence 2).
8.
Once the rear wheels are clear of the loading ramp stop the vehicle, apply the parkbrake (WP 0004), and deactivate the
boom float valve (WP 0004) to restore hydraulic power to the boom cylinder.
9.
Release and remove the ratchet strap between boom and dipper trolley.
10. Raise backhoe as required so that dipper arm and dolly will clear crest of aircraft ramp (WP 0004).
