Cylinder Head and Valves
REMOVE VALVE ASSEMBLY

NOTE: A small magnet may be used to aid removal of
valve retainer locks.
1. Using JDE138 Valve Spring Compressor, compress
valve springs far enough to remove retainer locks (D).
2. Release spring tension and remove valve rotator (C)
and valve spring (B).
3. Remove valves from cylinder head.
NOTE: Identify all parts for assembly in same location.
4. Remove valve stem seals (A) (if equipped) from valve
guide tower.
