AUXILIARY DEFROSTER DOES NOT WORK.
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive
electrical circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment and injury or death to personnel
may occur.
Step 1.
Check auxiliary defroster fan (1) for dirt, debris, and jams.
If auxiliary defroster fan (1) is jammed due to dirt and debris, clear jam.
Step 2.
Check continuity of auxiliary defroster fan (1).
If auxiliary defroster fan (1) does not have continuity, replace auxiliary defroster fan (Para 13-36).
Step 3.
Check continuity of auxiliary defroster switch (2).
If auxiliary defroster switch (2) does not have continuity, replace auxiliary defroster
switch (Para 12-16.1).
Step 4.
Check continuity of auxiliary defroster (3) wire harness (refer to FO-3).
If auxiliary defroster (3) wire harness does not have continuity, replace wire harness (Para 12-27)
