AIR-CONDITIONER (A/C) WILL NOT OPERATE OR COOL.
Entanglement in moving parts can cause serious injury or death.
Step 0.1
Ensure A/C system is properly charged and has no leaks (Para 19-4).
Step 1.
Check to make sure A/C clutch (1) on A/C compressor is engaging when A/C is turned on
If A/C clutch (1) does not engage, replace A/C compressor (Para 19-8).
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical circuits, a
direct short may result. Damage to equipment and injury or death to personnel may occur.
Step 2.
Check A/C selector switch (2) in cabin for voltage (refer to FO-3).
If voltage is not present at A/C selector switch (2), replace evaporator fan switch (Para 19-10).
If A/C clutch (1) stays engaged, notify Direct Support maintenance to check refrigerant level
