c. Repair.
Cleanliness is essential for correct and safe
operation of hydraulic system. Ensure dirt and
debris are not allowed to enter hydraulic
system. Failure to comply may result in
damage to equipment.
NOTE
This task lists repair steps for entire valve
block; use steps as required.
Tag all valve bodies and note their
positions before removal. Ensure that valve
bodies are reassembled in order noted.
(1)
Remove six nuts (18), washers (19), and three
stems (20) from inlet section (21), four valve
bodies (22), and outlet section (23).
(2)
Remove 38 O-rings (24) from between inlet
section (21), 4 valve bodies (22), and outlet
section (23). Discard O-rings.
NOTE
All valve bodies are repaired in the same way.
(3)
Remove four screws (25), solenoid valve (12),
and five O-rings (26) from valve body (22).
Discard O-rings.
(4)
Remove four screws (27), control block (28),
three O-rings (29), and spool (30) from valve
body (22). Discard O-rings.
(5)
Inspect spool (30) and valve body (22) for
scratches, scoring, and any other damage. If
found, replace both spool and valve body.
(6)
Insert spool (30) in valve body (22) and install
three new O-rings (29), control block (28),
and four screws (27).
(7)
Install five new O-rings (26) and solenoid
valve (12) on valve body (22) with four
screws (25).
(8)
Assemble 38 new O-rings (24) between inlet
section (21), four valve bodies (22), and outlet
section (23), and install three stems (20), six
washers (19), and nuts (18). Torque six nuts to
16 lbf/ft (22 Nm).
