Hydraulic cylinders are heavy. To avoid personal injury, exercise extreme care when manually
handling the cylinders. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
Hydraulic fluid (Dexron III) is TOXIC. Wear protective goggles and gloves; use only in well-
ventilated area; avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes. Skin and clothing that come in contact
with hydraulic oil should be washed immediately. Saturated clothing should be removed
immediately. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
The 4-in-1 bucket, tilt, stabilizer, and FEL lift cylinders are disassembled in a similar manner.

It may be necessary to use a vice to hold cylinder in place to remove front cap.

Mark front cap (1) to note position.

Loosen front cap (1) and remove rod
assembly (2) from barrel assembly (3).

Remove self-locking nut (4) from rod (5).
Discard self-locking nut.

Remove seal (6) and piston (7) from rod (5).
Discard seal.
NOTE
Perform Step (6) for stabilizer or FEL lift
cylinders. Perform Step (7) for 4-in-1 bucket or
tilt cylinders.

Remove O-ring (8), O-ring (9), O-ring (10),
and front cap (1) from rod (5). Discard O-rings.
Go to Step (8).

Remove O-ring (8), seal (9), and front cap (1)
from rod (5). Discard O-ring and seal.

Remove and discard seal (11), wiper (12), and
O-ring (13) from front cap (1). Discard seal,
wiper, and O-ring.
