a. Removal.
NOTE
The left and right side remove and install the same way. Left side is shown.
(1)
Remove cover (1) from mirror assembly (2).
(2)
Remove four self-locking nuts (3),
washers (4), and bolts (5) from mirror
assembly (2) and lower bracket (6). Discard
self-locking nuts.
(3)
Remove two self-locking nuts (7),
washers (8), screws (9), and mirror
assembly (2) from upper bracket (10).
Discard self-locking nuts.
NOTE
Perform Steps (4) through (6) only if
brackets need to be replaced.

Remove nut (11), washer (12), and
buffer (13) from lower bracket (6).
(5)
Remove bolt (14), washer (15), and lower
bracket (6) from vehicle.
(6)
Remove two bolts (16), washers (17), and
upper bracket (10) from vehicle.
