Cylinder Head and Valves
INSPECT AND MEASURE VALVE SPRINGS
1. Inspect valve springs for alignment, wear, and damage.
2. Put springs on a flat surface to see that they are
square and parallel.
3. Check valve spring tension using D01168A Spring
Compression Tester.

Height .......................................................... 54.5 mm (2.15 in.) with valve
closed
NOTE: Free spring length of 65 mm (2.56 in.) springs
differ slightly, but compressed height must be the
same.
