Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment and injury or death to personnel may occur.
(3)
Remove nut (10), cable (11), bolt (12), and
cable (8) from positive (+) terminal (13).
(4)
Remove nut (14), and cable (11) from master
electrical switch (15).
NOTE
If vehicle has cold weather kit, remove three
wires from negative (-) terminal in Step (5).
(5)
Remove nut (16), bolt (17), and cable (18)
from negative (-) terminal (19).
(6)
Remove nut (20) and cable (18) from master
electrical switch (15).
(7)
If required, loosen nut (21) and remove
battery terminal (19) from battery post (22).
Repeat for remaining terminals as necessary.
b. Installation.
NOTE
Install positive (+) cable before installing negative (-) cable.
Ensure all wires are reconnected to positions noted prior to removal.
Install cable ties as necessary.

If removed, install battery terminal (19) on battery post (22) and tighten nut (21). Repeat for remaining terminals
as necessary.
(2)
Connect cable (18) on battery isolation switch (15) with nut (20).
NOTE
If vehicle has cold weather kit installed, connect two wires to negative (-) terminal in Step (3).
(3)
Install cable (18) on bolt (17) and negative (-) terminal (19) with nut (16).
(4)
Install cable (8) on bolt (12) positive (+) terminal (13) and cable (11) on bolt (12) with nut (10).
(5)
Install cable (8) on bolt (7) and negative (-) terminal (9) with nut (6).
NOTE
If vehicle has cold weather kit installed, connect three wires to positive (+) terminal in Step (6).
(6)
Install two cables (3) and (4) on bolt (2) and positive (+) terminal (5) with nut (1).
(7)
Route cable (4) and refer to Para 12-16 for installation of cable on vehicle.
