b. Installation.
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,
bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts battery
terminal, a direct short may result in instant
heating of tools, damage to equipment, and
injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Ensure all wires are reconnected to
positions noted prior to removal.
Install cable ties as necessary.
All five solenoid coils are installed in the
same manner.
(1)
Connect solenoid coil (4) to wire harness (6).
(2)
Install new O-ring (5), and solenoid coil (4)
on spool cartridge (3).
(3)
Install new O-ring (2), and nut (1) on spool
cartridge (3).
c. Follow-On Maintenance.
(1)
Close hood (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(2)
Install engine access panel (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(3)
Start engine and functionally test transmission (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(4)
Shut OFF engine (TM 5-2420-230-10).
