NOTE
It may be necessary to remove fasteners in order to disconnect electrical connector.
(1)
Remove electrical connector (1) from sensor (2).
The speed sensor reducer location is preset from factory. Ensure reducer position is not changed when
removing or installing speed sensor. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
(2)
Remove sensor (2) from vehicle.
b. Installation.
Sensors, sending units and switches come in different styles and sizes. To prevent damage, be sure to
use only the exact replacement. Do not attempt to modify, or damage to equipment may occur.
NOTE
Ensure all wires are reconnected to positions noted prior to removal.
Install cable ties as necessary.
It may be necessary to install fasteners in order to connect electrical connector.

Install sensor (2) on vehicle.
(2)
Install electrical connector (1) on sensor (2).
c. Follow-On Maintenance.
(1)
If purged, charge A/C system (Para 19-4).
(2)
Start engine and verify that appropriate gauge or indicator is operating properly (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(3)
Shut OFF engine (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(4)
If removed, install belly plates (TM 5-2420-230-10) or hydraulic reservoir step plate (Para 13-15).
(5)
Remove "Do Not Operate" tag from ignition switch (TM 5-2420-230-10).
