b. Installation.
NOTE
If gun mount bracket was not removed, go to Step (5).
If replacing gun mount bracket, modify new bracket per steps (1) through (3) before installation. If
reinstalling old gun mount bracket, go to Step (4).
Dimensions shown are approximate. It may be necessary for you to modify the gun mount bracket
to slightly different dimensions to correctly fit your vehicle.

Bend both sides of bracket to approximate
dimensions shown.
(2)
Measure and mark hole position on
bracket (6).
(3)
Using a 17/64-in. bit, drill hole through
bracket (6).
(4)
Install bracket (6), spacer (12), and
spacer (13) on flanges (16) with four
bolts (15), washers (14), and nuts (11).
(5)
Install rifle mount (9) on bracket (10) with
two bolts (8) and nuts (7).
(6)
Install storage rack (5) and catch mount (4)
on bracket (6) with two bolts (3),
washers (2), and nuts (1).
c. Follow On Maintenance.
Remove "Do Not Operate" tag from ignition switch (TM 5-2420-230-10).
