Parking brake applied.
Engine shut OFF.
Electrical master switch OFF.
Materials/Parts
Washer, lock, Item 289.1, Appendix D
"Do Not Operate" tag attached
to ignition switch.

a. Removal.
(1)
Remove two nuts (1), lockwashers (2), screws (3), and MLC placard (4) from bracket (5).
(2)
Remove nut (6), lockwasher (7), screw (8), screw (9), and bracket (5) from fender (10). Discard lockwasher.
b. Installation.
(1)
Install bracket (5) on fender (10) with screw (9), screw (8), new lockwasher (7), and nut (6).
(2)
Install MLC placard (4) on bracket (5) with two screws (3), lockwashers (2), and nuts (1).
Follow-On Maintenance.
c.
Remove "Do Not Operate" tag from ignition switch (TM 5-2420-230-10).
