No smoking, flames, sparks, or glowing or
hot objects are allowed within 50 ft. (15 m)
of vehicle. Fire or explosion may cause
personal injury or death.
Fuel and oil are slippery and can cause falls.
To avoid injury, wipe up spilled fuel or oil
with rags.
To prevent possible injury, wear gloves and
protective eye equipment when handling
fuel. Failure to comply may result in injury
or death to personnel.

Remove plug (1) from fuel tank (2). Discard
plug.
(2)
Install fitting (3) on fuel tank (2).
(3)
Measure, mark, and cut fuel pick-up tube (4) to
20 in. (508 mm) long. Discard excess tubing.
(4)
Install fuel pick-up tube (4) in fitting (3).
(5)
Install hose (5) on fuel pick-up tube (4) with
hose connection (6) and two clamps (7).
(6)
Install hose (5) on fuel pump (8) with hose
connection (9) and two clamps (10).
(7)
Install fuel pump bracket (11) on fuel pump (8).
(8)
Install hose (12) on fuel pump (8) with hose
connection (13) and two clamps (14).
(9)
Remove nut (15) from starter solenoid (16),
install red wire connector (17) of harness (18)
on starter solenoid, and reinstall nut.
(10) Secure fuse (19) of harness (18) with a cable tie.
