Fuse Panel
The fuse panel is located to the left rear of the operator. Fuses open the battery circuit (blow) if there is a shorted
(grounded) wire or excessive current draw by a defective component in the corresponding circuit. When the circuit
is open, no current will flow to the components in that circuit. Fuses are easily replaced. If a fuse continually blows,
the affected component or vehicle electrical system requires troubleshooting and repair.
Charging Circuit
The charging circuit consists of two batteries, the key switch, an alternator, and a monitor controller.
With the key switch ON, battery power is applied to and excites the alternator. The alternator charges the batteries.
When the alternator produces output voltage, the alternator relay will energize, routing power from the key switch
to the monitor controller, turning off the alternator indicator light and the monitor warning alarm. If voltage at the
alternator drops below operating voltage, the alternator relay will de-energize, removing power to the monitor
controller. With battery voltage removed from monitor controller, the alternator voltage indicator will illuminate and
the monitor warning alarm will sound.
System voltage must be present for the alternator to produce a signal. When battery voltage is present at the monitor
controller, the load dump relay is energized by a ground from the monitor controller. With load dump relay energized,
battery power is supplied to the battery relay. This keeps the battery relay energized to ensure that excitation power
to alternator is maintained as long as the engine is running, even if the key switch is turned to the OFF or ACC
position momentarily.
