REMOVAL
WARNING
Use extreme care when removing radiator cap. If time permits, allow engine to cool before
opening cooling system. When engine is hot, there is pressure in the cooling system. Sudden
release of pressure can cause a steam flash. Wear protective goggles and use a clean, thick
waste cloth or like material to aid in removing the radiator cap. Avoid using gloves because
they can become soaked with hot water. Slowly loosen radiator cap to the first stop to relieve
pressure before removing radiator cap completely. Failure to comply may result in injury or
death to personnel.
NOTE
If HYEX is equipped with a Supplemental Armor Set, remove and install CCTV Conduit using
procedure found in TM 5-3805-295-13&P.
