Engine shut OFF.

Electrical master switch OFF.

"Do Not Operate" tag attached
to ignition switch.

PDP door opened.

a. Removal.
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,
bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive
electrical circuits, a direct short may result.
Damage to equipment and injury or death to
personnel may occur.
(1)
Remove wire harness (1) from wiper relay (2).
(2)
Remove bolt (3) from wiper relay (2).
(3)
Remove wiper relay (2).
b. Installation.
(1)
Install wiper relay (2) with bolt (3).
(2)
Attach wire harness (1) to wiper relay (2).
c. Follow-On Maintenance.
(1)
Close PDP door (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(2)
Start engine and functionally test wipers for
proper operation (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(3)
Shut OFF engine (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(4)
Remove "Do Not Operate" tag from ignition switch (TM 5-2420-230-10).
