Parking brake applied.
Engine shut OFF.
Electrical master switch OFF.
Materials/Parts
Nut, self-locking, Item 108, Appendix D (2)
"Do Not Operate" tag attached
Ties, cable, Item 68, Appendix C
to ignition switch.

a. Removal.
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,
bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact
positive electrical circuits, a direct short may
result. Damage to equipment and injury or
death to personnel may occur.
NOTE
Remove cable ties as necessary.
(1)
Disconnect wiring harness (1) from EGS (2).
(2)
Remove screws (3) and EGS (2) from
mounting clamp (4).
(3)
If required, remove screws (5), self-locking
nuts (6), and mounting clamp (4) from
steering column (7). Discard self-locking nuts.
