Hot parts and fluids can burn personnel. If vehicle has been operating, let engine cool before
starting work. Avoid contact with hot fluid when removing hoses or fittings. Failure to comply may
result in serious injury or death to personnel.
Coolant may damage the skin. Wear protective equipment and avoid skin contact when handling coolant.

Loosen clamp (17) and remove exhaust pipe (18) from arctic heater (19).

Place drain pan, loosen two clamps (20), and remove two coolant hoses (21) from arctic heater box (2).
(9)
Drain remaining coolant from arctic heater (19). Wipe excess coolant from arctic heater with a clean cloth.
b. Disassembly
(1)
Unplug connector (22).
(2)
Remove four nuts (23), washers (24), screws (25), and heater mounting bracket (26) from arctic heater box (2).
(3)
Loosen two clamps (27) and remove arctic heater (19) from two coolant hoses (28).
(4)
Remove screw (29), washer (30), and spacer (31) from heater mounting bracket (26) and arctic heater (19).
