(34) Install thermostat (159) on engine block (43) with screw (160).
(35) Remove screw (161) and lockwasher (162) from washer bottle bracket (163). Discard lockwasher.
(36) Install terminal connector (164) on wire (165).
(37) Install terminal connector (164) on washer bottle bracket (163) with new lockwasher (162) and screw (161).
(38) Install bulk wire (129) on thermostat wire (166) with wire connector (167).
(39) Remove tube fitting (168) from valve
fitting (122).
(40) Install tubing (130) on valve fitting (122)
with tube fitting (168). Tighten tube fitting
approximately one turn after it is finger tight.
(41) Connect bulk wires (128) and (129) to two
valve assembly wires (169) using two wire
connectors (170).
f. Follow-On Maintenance.
(1)
Install batteries (Para 12-6).
(2)
Fill cooling system (Para 9-4).
(3)
Install starting fluid cylinder (Para 20-15).
(4)
Start engine and functionally test cold weather equipment (TM 5-2420-230-10).
(5)
Check all hoses and tubes for leaks.
(6)
Shut OFF engine (TM 5-2420-230-10).
