AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM CHARGING - Continued
Personnel with a history of cardiac rhythm abnormalities should be made aware of
potential aggravation as a result of exposure to refrigerant. Failure to comply may result
in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Use of a refrigerant indentifier is required to ensure that refrigerant to be recovered is
R-134a. Failure to comply may result in damage to the equipment.
Air conditioner receiver/dryer must be replaced each time air conditioner system is
opened. Failure to comply may result in damage to the equipment.

Remove high-pressure cap (Figure 7, Item 1) from service valve (Figure 7, Item 2).

Remove low-pressure cap (Figure 7, Item 3) from service valve (Figure 7, Item 4).
3.
Connect high-pressure (red) hose (Figure 7, Item 5) to service valve (Figure 7, Item 2).
4.
Connect low-pressure (blue) hose (Figure 7, Item 6) to service valve (Figure 7, Item 4).
5.
Open low-pressure (blue) hose coupler (Figure 7, Item 7) by turning clockwise.
6.
Open high-pressure (red) hose coupler (Figure 7, Item 8) by turning clockwise.
7.
Using recovery machine (Figure 8, Item 9) operating instructions, replenish the air conditioner system with the
same amount of P.A.G. oil noted during recovery.
